It’s safe to say that the Miami Marlins have not gotten off to the best of starts in 2018, and their players are already making light of it.
The Marlins beat the Philadelphia Phillies 6-3 on Sunday, and in the process, first baseman Miguel Rojas hit the team’s third home run of the season. That’s a home run every three games, and a remarkably futile total.
All the same, Rojas had jokes.

Ohtani, of course, hit three home runs in his first 19 plate appearances. It’s a far cry from the power failure the Marlins are coping with. No wonder they’re having a hard time getting anyone to the ballpark.
