Andy Pages may be having a breakout season, but San Diego Padres manager Mike Shildt does not think the Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder has earned the right to act like pitchers are intentionally plunking him.
Pages was hit on the elbow by Padres pitcher Dylan Cease during the bottom of the fourth inning at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, Calif., on Monday night. The Dodgers were leading 3-2 at the time and had a runner on first with one out.
For some reason, Pages felt that Cease plunked him intentionally. Pages had some choice words for Cease before heading down to first base.

Shildt was then shown in the dugout, and he said what plenty of other people were thinking. The Padres manager asked Pages, “Who the f– do you think you are?”
Padres manager Mike Shildt appeared to have some words back for Andy Pages during his exchange with Dylan Cease:

Again, the Padres were trailing 3-2 at the time. Cease put a runner in scoring position by hitting Pages with the pitch. There is virtually no chance it was intentional, but Pages reacted as if he were Aaron Judge.
Pages is having a strong season with a .282 average, 13 home runs and 46 RBI in 69 games. That does not mean opposing pitchers view him as being so dangerous that they need to intentionally plunk him while already trailing with a runner on base.
That is not the first time Pages has gotten into it with an opposing player. It’s nice that Pages is confident, but Shildt felt the 24-year-old needed an ego check.
