Phillies reportedly agree to deal with Jake Arrieta
Jake Arrieta has finally found a new home.
According to multiple reports, Arrieta has agreed to a deal with the Philadelphia Phillies. Bob Nightengale of USA Today Sports says the contract is worth $75 million over three years.

Arrieta pitched fairly well even in a down season last year, posting a 14-10 record with a 3.53 ERA and 1.218 WHIP. The former Cy Young Award winner turned 32 earlier this month.
The Phillies reportedly checked in with another starting pitcher recently, but signing Arrieta is obviously huge for them. He should help anchor the rotation of a young team that looks to get back to contending after not reaching the playoffs since 2011.
