Seattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano broke a bone in his hand after being hit by a pitch on Sunday, and he admits he may need surgery to correct the problem.
Cano was unsure of his timetable after the game and feared surgery. He will see a doctor this week to determine the next steps.
Servais says losing Cano is tough blow, will look to fill internally. And no, Dee Gordon won’t move to second. No time estimate on Cano’s return.

Cano was feeling confident about his team at the end of April, but this is a huge blow to the Mariners. If it’s a particularly lengthy absence, they could be in big trouble for the rest of the season.
