Roger Clemens has great reaction after son Kody hits home run

Roger Clemens watches his son homer

Roger Clemens was on hand to see his son Kody play at Fenway Park in Boston, Ma. on Saturday, and he wound up getting to see his son go deep.

Kody Clemens hit a tiebreaking two-run home run in the top of the sixth inning of the game between the Minnesota Twins and the Boston Red Sox. It was Kody’s first home run as a member of the Twins, and Roger’s reaction was great.

The elder Clemens celebrated enthusiastically with family members. When Kody flashed a celebratory “Hook ’em Horns” celebration toward his father as he crossed home plate, Roger sent the gesture right back his way.

What a moment 😮

The home run definitely had some added meaning for the family. It was Kody’s first career home run at Fenway Park, which was Clemens’ home for the 13 years he spent with the Red Sox. Clemens eventually left Boston and fell out with the team’s fans, but that will not change the significance of the moment for him.

Kody only just joined the Twins after another team let him go last week. Saturday’s game marked his fifth appearance for Minnesota, and the home run was his first as a member of the team. He now has 15 career home runs since making his MLB debut in 2022.
