Roy Halladay doesn’t want Roger Clemens, Barry Bonds in Hall of Fame
The 2016 Baseball Hall of Fame inductees will be announced on Wednesday, and you can add Roy Halladay to the list of people who do not believe Roger Clemens and Barry Bonds should be among them.
Halladay, who will be eligible for the Hall in 2019, has taken a firm stance against performance-enhancing drug users getting the Cooperstown nod.
When you use PEDs you admit your not good enough to compete fairly! Our nations past time should have higher standards! No Clemens no Bonds!

As we know, Halladay is not alone. It’s unlikely that Bonds and/or Clemens, who are eligible for the fourth time out of 10 possible ballots, will be elected to the Hall of Fame this year. We know that based on the voting from 15 MLB.com writers, who only had Ken Griffey Jr. and Mike Piazza appear on at least 75 percent of ballots — the minimum needed for election to Cooperstown.
While some notable voters like Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports have finally decided to acknowledge that Bonds and Clemens were two of the game’s best with or without steroids, many others will never budge. Bonds may be out of the woods from a legal standpoint with regard to his alleged PED use, but that did him little good in the grand scheme.
It should be noted that there are players currently in the Hall of Fame (here’s one of the most notable) who believe Clemens and Bonds should join them. Personally, I think keeping players out based on suspicion of PED use is a slippery slope. Just look at this year’s ballot, and you’ll see that more than half of the players have been suspected in some way. Good thing no one asks me to vote.
