Shohei Ohtani had awesome message after winning World Series

Shohei Ohtani won his first World Series when the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the New York Yankees on Wednesday night, and he is already thinking about the next one.

The Dodgers made history by overcoming a 5-0 deficit to beat the Yankees 7-6 in Game 5 at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, N.Y. After the clinching victory, Ohtani had an awesome message for Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman. Ohtani told Friedman, “Let’s do this nine more times.”

“He gets one in his first year so he thinks this is easy,” Friedman said.

Ohtani signed a 10-year, $700 million contract with the Dodgers last winter. The majority of the salary is deferred, which will help L.A. build competitive rosters around the two-way star. Ohtani is now 1-for-1 with winning titles with the Dodgers, and he is aiming for the same result every year he is in L.A. Fans have to love hearing that.

Keep in mind that Ohtani was with the Los Angeles Angels prior to signing with the Dodgers. He spent six years with the Angels and never experienced a winning season or a playoff appearance. The 30-year-old went from that to winning a World Series immediately.

Even after winning 98 regular-season games and a World Series, it sounds like the Dodgers will be aggressive again in free agency. Ohtani may not get nine more championships, but it would be a surprise if he finishes his career in L.A. with only one.
