Terry Francona’s father Tito dies at 84
The Cleveland Indians are mourning the loss of an important member of their franchise’s history, as manager Terry Francona’s father Tito passed away Wednesday morning at the age of 84.
The Indians revealed the sad news on social media.

Tito, whose real name was John Francona, played for the Indians from 1959-1964, and he was named an MLB All-Star in 1961. He hit .272 with 224 doubles, 125 homers and 46 steals in 15 seasons in the majors.
Terry Francona has spoken about his father on many occasions. The two seemingly had a very close relationship.
