Report: White Sox have talked Joc Pederson trade with Dodgers

The Chicago White Sox are targeting a big bat on the trade market.

Bob Nightengale of USA TODAY Sports reported on Tuesday that the White Sox have had preliminary trade talks with the Los Angeles Dodgers for lefty slugger Joc Pederson, who has one year left on his contract.

The 27-year-old Pederson hit .249 with 36 home runs and 74 RBIs for the Dodgers last season. He also posted a career-high .876 OPS.

The Dodgers have some big-time plans for this offseason, which could leave the former All-Star Pederson as the odd man out, potentially to the benefit of the up-and-coming White Sox.
