Woman charged following bizarre crime in Royals pitcher’s home
Kansas City Royals pitcher Danny Duffy recently had his home broken into, and fortunately there were no injuries or major losses as a result of the incident. Duffy was, however, left with a story he will likely tell for the rest of his life.
According to a report from KCTV in Kansas City, a woman named Tabytha C. Yeary has been charged with second-degree burglary after she allegedly broke into Duffy’s home last Saturday. The left-hander has his security system linked to his smart phone, so he received a notification and witnessed Yeary strolling through his home.
Police were called to Duffy’s home, and Yeary reportedly told them she thought she had walked into an Airbnb. She also stated that her husband is Elon Musk but that he is “not the same Elon Musk that we have seen.” Police also discovered a Playstation 4 controller inside her purse, so it’s unclear if she was planning to steal the item.
As someone who actually has an extremely embarrassing arrest on his record, Duffy probably won’t criticize the home intruder all that much.
