Yankees, Braves reportedly favorites to sign Dallas Keuchel
Dallas Keuchel appears to be getting close to signing a contract now that he has become an unrestricted free agent, and the competition for him may be turning into a two-team race.
Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News reports that the Atlanta Braves and New York Yankees have emerged as the favorites to sign Keuchel. Both teams are believed to have made similar offers to the left-hander.

Keuchel, 30, is a former Cy Young Award winner who saw his ERA jump to 3.74 and his WHIP climb to 1.31 last season, which was his highest mark since 2013. There have been concerns that he is losing effectiveness, but he still made 34 starts and should be able to boost a starting rotation if he’s healthy and in shape.
Craig Kimbrel should also sign a contract at some point in the near future now that he is no longer a restricted free agent, and one report claims a team is interested in signing both him and Keuchel.
