Twitter reacts to Yasiel Puig catching fire for Dodgers with home run binge
Yasiel Puig is on absolute fire for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
First Puig went 3-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs in the Dodgers’ 3-0 win over the St Louis Cardinals on Friday. As if that wasn’t enough, Puig tripled down on Saturday.
The Dodgers outfielder hit not one, not two, but three home runs against the Cardinals. His first was a solo shot in the fourth to make it 3-0. His second was a 3-run home run an inning later to make it 8-4. Then he hit a second three-run home run in the eighth to make it 13-4.
The second homer was a line drive shot to left that ranked as the Dodgers’ hardest of the season.
With an exit velo of 114.3 mph, Puig's blast was the hardest hit of any Dodger homer this year.
