Adam Silver dropped the hammer on Donald Sterling on Tuesday by banning him from the NBA for life, fining him $2.5 million and essentially promising to force him out of the league altogether. Some would even say the new commissioner broke the 81-year-old owner’s ankles and stepped over him after hitting a jumper in his eye.
Others might argue that Silver posterized the crap out of Sterling.
Call it what you want, but most people are happy with the punishment levied against the old racist. While no one can stop him from being rich, Silver has done the best he can to stop Sterling from associating with the league.
