Agent dismisses notion that Enes Kanter will opt out of deal
The agent for New York Knicks big man Enes Kanter says it’s too early to say his client will opt out of his contract.
Kanter spoke with the media on Thursday and said he was leaning towards opting out of his contract. He has an $18.6 million player option for next season.

Despite what Kanter says, his agent Mark Bartelstein is saying nothing has been decided, according to The Athletic’s Mike Vorkunov.
Talked to Mark Bartelstein, Kanter's agent about this. He said Kanter has a long ways to go on making a decision on his option and today's press conference was "much ado about nothing."

Kanter, 25, had a big season for the Knicks. He averaged 14.1 points and 11 rebounds in 25.8 minutes per game as he became an integral part of the team. He would likely find several suitors on the open market if he were to become a free agent.
