Al Horford reportedly meeting with Rockets
With some Durant-sized fish stealing all the thunder (no pun intended), Al Horford’s free agency has found itself somewhat overshadowed. But the Houston Rockets certainly haven’t forgotten about him.
According to a report by Michael Scotto of Sheridan Hoops on Thursday, Horford will be having a meeting with the Rockets on Friday.

The four-time All-Star has also been linked to, amongst other suitors, the Magic, the Warriors, and, most recently, the Thunder.
With Dwight Howard seeming like a dead man walking in Houston, the Rockets have arguably the biggest need at the center position of any of the aforementioned teams.
The 30-year-old Horford’s efficiency, familiarity with a relatively low-usage role in Atlanta, and ability to stretch defenses and run the floor well would make him a natural fit on the Rockets under new head coach Mike D’Antoni.
The genie appears to be out of the bottle on just how valuable a player Horford is, and the Hawks may have difficulty cramming it back in to retain him.
