Angel Reese has a bigger vision in mind when it comes to her new trademark.
The Chicago Sky star Reese recently filed a trademark for the term “mebounds.” She plans to use the term, which was coined by trolls online to criticize her supposed manner of padding her own stats by rebounding her own misses, to sell clothing items like hats, sweatshirts, and T-shirts.
Reese also called out her trolls in a viral video posted to her TikTok page. In the video, she said that she planned to earn “six figures” out of the the “mebounds” trademark.
On Thursday, Reese elaborated on her plan even further. She officially rolled out her new line of “mebounds” merchandise and announced that part of the proceeds will be going to her Angel C. Reese Foundation in order to help fight cyberbullying.

The 23-year-old All-Star Reese is one of the most criticized players in the WNBA right now but often brings a lot of the negative attention upon herself. It doesn’t really help either that Reese’s game is largely lacking with an average of 11.0 points per game this season on brutal 38/22/71 shooting splits (though she has been heating up lately).
One could argue that Reese sometimes even engages in cyberbullying herself, particularly against Caitlin Clark. But now her plan is to help fight cyberbullying using some of the proceeds generated from her “mebounds” trademark.
