Blake Griffin Open to Participating in Slam Dunk Contest
Though he has the misfortune of playing for the pathetic Clippers who have the worst record in the NBA at 4-17, rookie Blake Griffin is one of the most exciting players in the league. He can rebound, post up, bang inside, and he’s one heck of a dunker. He’s tea bagged fools he gets so high in the air, and he has to be considered one of the best, if not the best, dunker in the league. Whether all his power comes from the shake weight we don’t know, but we do know that the All-Star Game will be a heck of a lot more excited with him participating in it.
The good news is that unlike many other stars, Griffin says he’s willing to participate in the Slam Dunk Contest if he’s invited (duh! of course he will be). He told FanHouse via Slam Online “If they ask me to do it, I’ll do it,” Griffin said. It’s about time we’ve heard a star who is willing to participate in a fan-friendly event and absolutely stun us all. We’re still waiting on LeBron to take his shot (which probably won’t ever happen now), because there are far too many no-name guys who take part.
Griffin may be on a crap team but he’s an exciting player, and he’ll only further solidify his status as a fan’s player if he participates. If Dwight Howard also is in, this will be one for the ages.
