Brett Anderson sends hilarious tweet about Yoenis Cespedes’ new contract

Yoenis Cespedes opted out of the final two years of his contract with the New York Mets earlier this month, and that ended up being a sound financial decision. As Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Brett Anderson reminds us, it’s one that could put food on the table for more than just Cespedes and his family.

Shortly after word surfaced that Cespedes has re-signed with the Mets on a four-year, $110 million deal, Anderson had a timely tweet about the slugger’s affinity for exotic cars.

The new deal Cespedes signed guarantees him $55 million more than the one he opted out of. Imagine how many new cars he can buy with that?

If you weren’t aware of how much of an avid car collector Cespedes is, check out some of the rides he showed up to spring training in last season. Anderson has a point. Some care salesman should be doing cartwheels.
