Brittney Griner: Gilbert Arenas won’t be forgiven

Brittney-Griner

Gilbert Arenas has already made it clear that he has no intention of apologizing for the sexist remarks he made about the WNBA. And even if he did, one of the league’s biggest stars wouldn’t accept it.

In a brief interview with TMZ, Brittney Griner addressed Arenas’ inappropriate rant from last week.

“I have no reaction for what he said. I have nothing to say about it. It doesn’t deserve a response,” she said.

Griner was asked specifically if she would forgive Arenas if he decided to apologize.

“Hell no,” she said. “Why would he apologize? He meant what he said.”

If you haven’t seen Gilbert’s comments, you can read them here. As idiotic as they were, the former NBA star decided to double down a couple days later and take more shots at the “ugly” players in the WNBA.

Griner isn’t the first WNBA player to speak out against Arenas, and we don’t blame anyone who unloads on Agent Zero. That said, he got just what he was looking for when he made the remarks — lots and lots of attention.
