Charles Barkley Sports a Poncho and Sombrero for Latin Night

TNT broadcaster Charles Barkley went all Ochocinco on us by sporting a poncho and sombrero during a sports contest. Ocho did it following a touchdown but Barkley did it to celebrate something else. Thursday night was Latin Night in Chicago for the Bulls/Heat game debacle, the 13th of 15 such games around the NBA as part of an initiative to recognize the NBA’s Hispanic fans. TNT decided to switch things up and send their usual studio crew of Kenny Smith, Ernie Johnson, and Charles to broadcast the actual game. Their typical antics were about the only thing that could have maintained fan interest during the blowout. For instance, in the first quarter of the game, Barkley busted out with a poncho and sombrero to pay his stereotypical respect to Latinos. Here’s a picture via NBAonTNT:

Because I was also watching the tourney games at the time my attention was divided, but I do believe Chuck may have sampled some chips and salsa too. We definitely know from Inside Trax that the gang was served some Chicago-style pizza courtside but I can’t confirm if any chips and salsa eating took place. Leave it to Chuck to bring some entertainment to the game like usual. That dude is a freaking side show.
