After spending roughly a year on the sidelines, Chet Holmgren got the full-on experience in his first game back.
The Oklahoma City Thunder phenom Holmgren made his 2023 NBA Summer League debut in Sacramento on Monday against the Utah Jazz. Towards the end of the game, Holmgren was shooting free throws when he heard a savage chant from the fans in attendance — “Overrated!”

The ex-No. 2 overall pick Holmgren didn’t actually do too bad for himself in the game. He finished with 15 points (on 6/14 shooting) plus nine rebounds, two assists, and four blocks. Holmgren even produced highlight moments on both ends of the floor.

True, a whole lot of people are hyping up Holmgren, who missed his entire rookie season due to a foot injury and thus has yet to play in a single real NBA game. But at least on Holmgren’s end of things, he is doing what he needs to do to address some of the biggest concerns surrounding him.
