Chris Bosh says he hasn’t spoken to LeBron James since LeBron left Heat

LeBron James Chris Bosh

Chris Bosh said on Tuesday that he has not spoken to LeBron James since LeBron decided to leave the Miami Heat and return to the Cleveland Cavaliers. While he didn’t say he was upset with LeBron, Bosh delivered an emphatic “no” when asked if he has had contact with his former teammate.

“I’m in the mode where I’m trying to lead my team, help these guys out around here,” Bosh said, via ESPN.com. “If guys aren’t in this locker room, I don’t have much time for them — if any.”

When a reporter asked Bosh if he is looking forward to seeing LeBron on Saturday when the Heat take on the Cavs in Rio de Janeiro, the big man didn’t seem all that enthused.

“Yeah…I don’t know,” Bosh said.

Bosh went on to discuss how he is focused on his own teammates. He also said the media will hype up Saturday’s game but insists it is “another opportunity to get better” that will be good to get out of the way.

While it’s too early to tell if Bosh is going to give LeBron the same treatment Kevin Garnett gave Ray Allen when Allen left Boson for Miami, it doesn’t seem like Bosh is nearly as close with LeBron as Dwyane Wade is. Wade has spoken to LeBron several times since James decided to go back to Cleveland and has shown nothing but support for his former teammate. It sure seems like Bosh isn’t taking it as well, or so he is trying to make it seem.
