Chris Bosh believes LeBron James will sign with Rockets

LeBron James is going to have several teams to choose from in free agency this summer, and one person who knows him better than most has a bold prediction about where the three-time NBA champion will end up.

In an appearance on Colin Cowherd’s FS1 show Thursday, Chris Bosh predicted that LeBron will sign with the Houston Rockets this summer.

“I would guess that he’ll go to Houston,” Bosh said. “It’s like the next Avengers movie — Golden State with 100 superheroes and then Houston with 100 superheroes and they fight. That’s just what it’s coming down to. … I think with the dynamic that Houston has, you could argue that they could have taken Golden State down this year.

“I think it’s gonna be one of those things kind of like what Golden State did. (Kevin Durant) went there and they teamed up, and it’s kind of like, ‘OK, beat this.’ Now I think it’s on another organization to give that same narrative.”

Bosh played with James for several seasons with the Miami Heat and won two championships with him, so you could say his opinion holds weight. Still, the biggest argument against LeBron going to the Western Conference is that the road to the NBA Finals would be much more difficult. Then again, he’d probably have to beat the Warriors at some point anyway in order to win a title, so why not get it out of the way a round or two sooner?

No one really knows if LeBron has narrowed down his decision yet, and there have been some truly wild theories about where he might end up. It’s tough to imagine him, James Harden and Chris Paul being able to share the ball enough, but perhaps Mike D’Antoni could find a way to make it work.
