The Minnesota Timberwolves are in a desperate situation, so their head coach isn’t holding back.

Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch spoke with the media before Thursday’s Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals at Target Center in Minneapolis. Finch’s Timberwolves are down 3-1 in the series and need three straight wins to become the first NBA team to ever come back from down 3-0 to win a series. Facing those odds, Finch wasn’t hesitant to call out both the officials and Mavericks’ tactics.

Finch said he feels like the Timberwolves haven’t been getting enough respect from the officials all series.

Chris Finch opens his pre-game media session with some scathing words about the officiating in this series.

He said the Mavs are regularly setting illegal screens.

Then Finch got into specifics when asked about having Anthony Edwards guard Luka Doncic during the series.

“He does a better job of getting through all those illegal screens they set for Luka,” Finch said.

Well, Finch sure didn’t hesitate to point out that he feels the officials are letting the Mavs get away with illegal screens.

With his team facing such long odds of coming back in the series, what does Finch have to lose by pointing that out?
