Shortly after word surfaced on Thursday that Craig Sager has passed away, the NBA sideline reporter had his Wikipedia page hacked. But this was not one of the disrespectful or humorous hacks we have grown used to seeing. This was an awesome hack.

For a very brief period, the words “legends never die” were written where Sager’s date of death should have been.

In an era where Wikipedia is always on the alert for people who are ridiculing pro athletes and other public figures (here’s a recent example), that was a breath of fresh air.

Sager was one of the most respected personalities in all of sports. The way he managed to inspire people while fighting through leukemia was truly remarkable. Sports will not be the same without him.
