Damian Lillard reportedly day-to-day with sprained ankle

Damian Lillard is day-to-day with a sprained ankle and he is expected to miss Portland’s next game, according to a report.

Yahoo’s Shams Charania reports the news on Lillard and says the point guard will likely miss the Blazers’ game on Thursday in Houston.

Lillard suffered a sprained ankle in the Trail Blazers’ loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night. He was seen limping after the game and was transported out of the locker room on a cart.

Lillard said at the time that he would be “smart” about the way he handled the injury with the playoffs coming up. The Blazers hold a three-game lead over Utah for the third spot in the Western Conference and have four games left on their schedule.
