As Alice in Chains once so eloquently put it, “Here they come to snuff the Rooster.”
According to a report by Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical on Sunday, Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari is expected to miss a month of action after tearing two ligaments in his right ankle.

Though Denver is just 23-37 this season, Gallinari had been having a career year with 19.5 points per game, 5.3 rebounds per game, and 2.5 assists per game. Once again proving to be one of the simpler joys in the NBA, the 27-year-old’s ability as a wing player to handle, screen, shoot, drive, or dish has made the Nuggets infinitely more fun.
The one-month timetable would put a Gallinari return around the start of April, at which point Denver would only have about five regular season games left. With a playoff berth all but out of grasp and virtually nothing left to play for, it’s very possible that we’ve seen the last of Gallo this season. For shame.
