The Toronto Raptors suffered a deflating loss in Game 2 of their second-round series against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday, and DeMar DeRozan didn’t do much to stop the bleeding in his postgame press conference.
After the 128-110 loss (which put the Raptors down 0-2 with the series headed to Cleveland), DeRozan commented about how the team thrived off adversity.
"We thrive off of adversity."

Of course, DeRozan’s remarks were a bit head-scratching for a team with a long history of shrinking in the playoffs, and the Internet reacted accordingly.
No you don’t, lmao.

The facts are that the Raptors have never come back to win a series from down 0-2, so this will be adversity they have yet to face. Thus, DeRozan’s claim may be even more implausible than the one that his coach made after the first loss.
