The beef between DeMarcus Cousins and Charles Barkley reared its ugly head once again on Thursday.
Cousins has been in the news all week after he blew up on Sacramento Kings head coach George Karl following a loss Monday. The situation has been a mess, and now reports say the Kings could get rid of both Karl and Cousins.
When TNT’s “Inside the NBA” discussed the Kings during their pregame show Thursday, Charles Barkley apparently avoided the topic because he said he doesn’t like Cousins.
Barkley said he won't touch on Cousins situation because everyone knows he doesn't like Cousins. "I don't like Cousins", he said. lol #real

Cousins saw that and responded on Twitter, calling out Barkley for acting hard but really being soft:

The beef between them goes all the way back to high school. Cousins was a star in Alabama and Barkley went to watch him in a state playoff game and was not super impressed. He gave a less than glowing review of Cousins, though over time he has recognized Cousins’ potential.
Still, Barkley’s initial assessment of Cousins has stuck with the big man forever.
“I have no respect for you and I never will. We have nothing to talk about. So, yes, every time we see each other, there will never be words,” Cousins said of Barkley last year to Ric Bucher.
Barkley then had this to say about Cousins last year on TNT:
Barkley is a pretty stubborn guy, but Cousins is even worse in that regard. Don’t hold your breath on them thawing out the frosty relationship any time soon.
