DeMarcus Cousins trolls Nikola Jokic at end of win
Nikola Jokic is having an MVP-caliber season with the Denver Nuggets this year, but Tuesday night’s game against the Golden State Warriors was not one of his best. DeMarcus Cousins was largely responsible for that, and let’s just say he did not hesitate to pat himself on the back.
The Warriors dominated the Nuggets with a 116-102 win, and Cousins had a team-high 28 points and 13 rebounds. He also held Jokic to just 10 points on 4-of-10 shooting, which helps explain Cousins’ antics when he left the game late in the fourth quarter.

In case you were wondering, that is Cousins’ way of saying he locked Jokic up and wondering where he disappeared to.
If Cousins can continue to play like that on both sides of the ball, it’s hard to imagine the Warriors not winning their third consecutive championship. While he still has trouble controlling his emotions at times, he’s one of the best big men in basketball when healthy. The presence of Cousins makes Golden State that much more dangerous, and his performance against one of the best players in the Western Conference was a reminder of that.
