Draymond Green says Michael Jordan told him to break Bulls record
Draymond Green has added incentive to help his Golden State Warriors break the Chicago Bulls’ single season wins record: Michael Jordan will be mad at him if he doesn’t.
Green divulged the bit of information after the Warriors defeated San Antonio on Sunday night to tie the 1995-96 Bulls with their 72nd win.
“Mike told me at All Star, ‘go win the record, go get the record,'” Green said via ESPN. “‘If y’all don’t win this record, I’m gonna be hot and I’m blaming you.'”
Having Michael Jordan angry at you for any reason seems like a bad idea, so it seems like it would very much be in Green and the Warriors’ best interests to beat Memphis at home on Wednesday night for their 73rd win.
This isn’t the first time Jordan has given the Warriors his blessing to break the record. Another one of their stars got permission from MJ around the same time.
