The Golden State Warriors are getting set to play in their fifth consecutive NBA Finals, but ticket prices would seem to indicate fans are not tired of watching them compete for championships.
Fans have been paying thousands upon thousands of dollars for courtside seats to Game 1 and Game 2 of the Finals in Toronto. Darren Rovell of Action Network reported earlier in the week that someone paid more than $50,000 for a pair of courtside seats for Thursday night’s game. Then on Wednesday, someone spent nearly double that for similar seats at Oracle Arena for Game 3.

To many people, $93,200 is two years worth of salary or a down payment on a dream home. To others, it is 48 minutes of watching the best basketball players in the world.
Are we surprised? Not really. When you see what people are willing to shell out for a game-used mouthguard from Stephen Curry, you get a sense of just how popular the Warriors are right now. We also know that Raptors fans are some of the most passionate in the league, so this year’s NBA Finals should produce some incredible TV ratings in addition to eye-popping ticket prices.
