The NBA reviewed a play by Festus Ezeli in the first quarter of Game 5 of the NBA Finals on Monday for a potential flagrant foul, but they determined no such foul was committed.

Here’s the play where Ezeli comes down hard on Cleveland’s Tristan Thompson:

Review (Game Crew): if Ezeli committed a flagrant foul in Q1 of #CLEvGSW. Ruling: Common foul on Ezeli. https://t.co/lqd5ZSyPin

Most would agree the contact by Ezeli should not have resulted in a flagrant foul, so they would agree with the refs. But after what happened at the end of Game 4, it’s understandable why the officials took extra precautions on this one.
