Flip Saunders dies from cancer complications at age 60
Minnesota Timberwolves head coach Flip Saunders has passed away.
Saunders, who also served as the team’s president of basketball operations, was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma in June. The Timberwolves recently announced that he would not coach this upcoming season due to complications with his cancer treatment. Saunders lost his battle on Sunday. He was 60.

Saunders had been hospitalized since early September. He said back when he was diagnosed that doctors considered his cancer to be “very treatable and curable” and that he planned to remain in his current roles with the T-Wolves.
