Giannis Antetokounmpo is said to be open to a trade away from the Milwaukee Bucks, and two teams have surfaced as the sort that could give the Bucks what they would want in a deal.
In an appearance on ESPN’s “Get Up!,” Brian Windhorst noted that the Bucks will want quality players and useful draft assets from other teams if they did trade Antetokounmpo. Windhorst emphasized two teams that could provide that: the San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets.

The Rockets still have the right to swap 2027 first-round picks with the Brooklyn Nets through the James Harden trade. The Spurs have future first-round selections from the Atlanta Hawks, and both teams have players they might be willing to part with for Antetokounmpo.
There is no guarantee that Antetokounmpo will be traded, as everything seems to be exploratory at this stage. Still, this is the first real suggestion that it could happen. If Antetokounmpo was legitimately available, virtually every team would be interested, but few would have the capital to pull it off.
Notably, a few big-market teams might be of interest to Antetokounmpo, but it is not clear if they would have what Milwaukee would be looking for.
The Bucks have only won one playoff series since their NBA title in 2021, and have exited in the first round in three straight seasons. They might have to convince Antetokounmpo that they are poised to end that streak or risk losing him.
