Jahlil Okafor is making an effort to get into better shape entering the upcoming NBA season.
CSN Philly’s Jessica Camerato spoke with Okafor at the Sixers Shore Tour Thursday and says the third-year center is down 20 pounds from his weight entering training camp last year.

Okafor also told Camerato he is following a mostly vegan diet.
Okafor has been following a "mostly vegan" diet. No dairy, will sometimes eat fish. His uncle cooks a vegan meal for him each morning.

Okafor averaged 17.5 points and seven rebounds per game as a rookie in 2015-16 — the same year the 76ers made him the No. 3 overall pick in the draft. His minutes were cut last season as he shared time in a crowded frontcourt, so his numbers dipped to 11.8 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.
Okafor is looking to bounce back after a knee injury ended his season in March, limiting him to 50 games last season.
