Jamal Murray gets 48-point ball back from fan
The story of Jamal Murray’s 48-point ball has a happy ending.
Murray upset his Boston Celtics opponents — namely Kyrie Irving — by heaving a 3-pointer at the buzzer in an effort to crack the 50-point mark during Utah’s win over Boston on Monday night.
Irving was so upset by Murray’s actions that he chucked the ball into the stands to keep Murray from having a memento from the game.
Despite Irving’s best effort, Murray got the ball back. The fan who caught the ball gave it to a young Nuggets fan who was wearing a Murray jersey.
So the guy who caught the ball flung by an angry Kyrie last night gave it to this kid who was wearing a Murray jersey. Jamal Murray is his favorite player. Listen to the entire story now on @AltitudeSR pic.twitter.com/8w9LBMd3yO

The fan returned to the Pepsi Center in Denver on Friday to attend the Nuggets’ game against the Brooklyn Nets and returned the ball to Murray. He got some swag and an autograph in return:

Looks like things worked out well for all parties … except Kyrie.
