Jamal Murray appeared to go for a personal milestone instead of dribbling out the clock against the Boston Celtics.
Murry put together his best game as a professional Monday against the Celtics. The Nuggets guard posted a career-high 48 points on 19-of-30 shooting.
Denver led 115-107 and inbounded the ball with less than 11 seconds remaining in regulation. Instead of dribbling out the clock, Murray shot a three-pointer as the clock expired.

The thinking is that Murray wanted to crack the 50-point mark.
These types of actions generally aren’t received well by opposing players and coaches, especially when they are done by younger players. In fact, Murray has gotten into trouble in the past for similar antics.
It will be interesting to see what reactions come from the Celtics’ locker room on what Murray did.
