Joe Ingles takes funny swipe at Gordon Hayward after Jazz clinch playoff berth
The Utah Jazz are officially back in the playoffs despite many writing them off after Gordon Hayward’s departure, and forward Joe Ingles is basking in it.
The Jazz clinched a playoff spot with a 112-97 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday. Afterwards, a reporter referenced Hayward’s exit last summer in a question to Ingles, and the Australian managed to get in a funny swipe.

“Who?” said Ingles upon hearing Hayward’s name. The reporter reiterated he was talking about the ex-Utah star, but Ingles just shook it off dismissively.
The Jazz indeed have little reason to keep thinking back to Hayward — they are currently the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference, which is actually than their fifth-seeded finish with Hayward at the helm last season. Ingles himself has also enjoyed a quietly brilliant year with 11.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game on 44.1 percent shooting from deep.
Granted, Ingles and Hayward have a history of taking good-natured shots at one another, so whatever beef they may have here is probably a friendly one.
