As expected, Joel Embiid will be reevaluated in 1-2 weeks after undergoing surgery on his left hand.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Embiid’s surgery on Friday was a success, and he’ll be out for at least a couple more weeks as he recovers.

This is the course of action that Embiid was set to take yesterday. It means that the Philadelphia 76ers center will likely be out until the end of January or so, which could cause him to miss eight games or more if he’s still not ready to return.
The Sixers are 25-14 and in the fifth spot in the Eastern Conference. They’ll probably hope to tread water as long as Embiid is out, but the surgery was a success, which is at least good news.
