NBA All-Star Kevin Durant gave the fans of New York City a thrill Monday night when he showed up for a game at the famed Rucker Park. Durant was playing for his DC Power team and fulfilling a lifelong dream of playing at the storied venue. New York Post reporter Joseph Staszewski says Durant scored 66 points on 9-11 three-point shooting. His team won a close game thanks to a monster three-pointer he nailed. Check out the video courtesy of Staszewski, as shared by I am a GM:
After the game, Durant tweeted “No lie, just had one of the best times of my life at Rucker park..wow! I love NY.”
Who needs the NBA when they can just televise streetball games? These park games aren’t the real thing, but we’ll take our highlights any way we can get em.
