Kevin Garnett traded back to Minnesota

Kevin GarnettKevin Garnett is returning home to his first team.

TNT’s David Aldridge reports that KG will waive his no-trade clause with the Nets and be dealt back to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Thaddeus Young.

The two sides had been talking about a potential deal, but there was uncertainty about whether or not Garnett would approve the deal.

Garnett, 38, is in the final year of his contract and only averaging around 15 minutes per game. He is not much of a factor anymore, so this is mostly a sentimental deal for them.

Garnett has also expressed interesting in owning a part of the T-Wolves, so this move will put him closer to achieving that goal.
