Kevon Looney left Game 2 of the NBA Finals on Sunday night after hurting himself landing hard on the court.
The Golden State Warriors big man was trying to defend Kawhi Leonard, who drove into the paint. He seemed to slip as he was going backwards on defense and landed hard on his left shoulder as he fell while guarding the Toronto Raptors star.
Looney was shown on Golden State’s bench icing his left shoulder. The Warriors later termed him questionable to return due to a left chest contusion.
ABC’s Doris Burke further reported that Looney was undergoing X-rays.
Looney had a rebound and turnover in 10 minutes off the bench. He had committed three fouls.
Looney scored nine points in 25 minutes in Game 1 of the series. He was a revelation in the conference finals against Portland, averaging 10 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.
