Klay Thompson has spicy response to being booed by Warriors fans
Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson had some choice words Wednesday after being asked about fans booing the team at home.
The Warriors were walloped 141-105 by the visiting New Orleans Pelicans at Chase Center in San Francisco, Calif. The Warriors were outscored 46-27 in the first quarter and never led in the contest.
The wire-to-wire beatdown Golden State took had the home fans booing the team for the second consecutive game.

More boos from the fans in Chase Center. That's two games in a row that the Warriors get boo'd by their home fans.

Thompson was quick to disparage the negative fan reaction at home. The Warriors sharpshooter cut a question about the boos short when asked about it during his postgame press conference.
“I don’t care,” Thompson interrupted. “Are we supposed to lose sleep over it?”

Steph Curry had a more diplomatic answer when asked about the boos. The 2-time MVP said that he’s “booing myself” for the way the team has played thus far.
“We’re obviously struggling. There’s nothing to really cheer about. … I don’t take it any certain type of way. Honestly, I’m booing myself. Booing our team in my head because of the way we’re playing,” said Curry.

Golden State has lost six of their last eight games. The Warriors, who have historically been terrific on their home floor, went 2-5 during their concluded 7-game home stand. The Warriors’ latest loss dropped them to 12th in the West standings with a 17-20 record.
The Warriors at least have some positive news going forward. But the team, as it stands, has looked far from a contender this season.
