The Golden State Warriors’ season from hell continued Monday, with Moses Moody suffering a non-contact leg injury against the Dallas Mavericks.
Moody got a clean steal on Mavericks rookie Cooper Flagg and had a wide-open lane for a dunk with just over a minute left in overtime at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. As the Warriors swingman took a strong step for a dunk, his left knee completely caved on him. He crumpled to the ground in pain.

The Peacock broadcast briefly showed the gruesome state of Moody’s knee before taking the image off the air. The image is embedded below — you’ve been warned.
Moody’s injury is suspected to be a patellar dislocation of the left knee, which could potentially keep him out for the rest of the Warriors’ season.

The fifth-year veteran had to be stretchered off the floor. The Warriors held on for a 137-131 win without him

Moody, who had just returned after a 10-game stint on the sidelines due to a wrist issue, was in the midst of one of his best games of the season before the injury. He finished with a team-high 23 points to go along with 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks. His 20 shot attempts were a season-high for Moody, who looked confident as a top scoring threat for Golden State.
Moody’s injury adds to the slew of health issues plaguing the Warriors this season. Golden State was already reeling from the loss of Jimmy Butler to a torn ACL, while Steph Curry continues to fight through a lingering knee injury.
