Kristaps Porzingis gets his American culture from World Star Hip Hop
Knicks fans may not have liked the team’s pick of Kristaps Porzingis at No. 4 overall in the NBA draft, but at least the Latvian will have some appeal with the urban crowd.
Perhaps the greatest draft-related quote of the night had to do with the 7-footer. Witness the following from The Wall Street Journal’s Ben Cohen:
"He has a great sense of American culture," a Kristaps Porzingis teammate told me. "He goes on WorldStarHipHop every day."

World Star Hip Hop is one of the most trafficked sites on the web. It currently has the following headlines on its site:
– Chicago Drug Dealer Had Customers Lined Up Around The Corner For Heroin!
– Super Rare 20 Foot Basking Shark Caught In Australia!
– Karma Strikes A Man Who Illegally Parked In A Handicap Parking Spot!
– How To Win Street Fights Prank Goes Wrong! (Gets His Jaw Rocked)
Yup, that’s definitely a good place to start when it comes to soaking up relevant American culture. Once he incorporates LBS into his rotation, he’ll be completely set.
