Report: Kyle Lowry may look to play for Western Conference team
There is some talk that Kyle Lowry may look to switch conferences this summer.
Lowry has a $12 million option for next season that he is sure to turn down in favor of a long-term deal. The big question has been whether he would want to stay in Toronto, where he has made a great home and become an All-Star three seasons in a row.
ESPN’s Marc Stein says there is talk the point guard may want to switch to the West:
Late-season rumbles that Kyle Lowry will give legit thought to a free-agent switch to the West are sure to rise in volume after this series

Lowry, 31, has played 11 seasons in the NBA and truly blossomed in Toronto. But there could be some frustration playing with the Raptors, where the team has been eliminated by LeBron James’ Cavaliers in consecutive seasons. Perhaps he feels he would have a better chance of advancing in the playoffs in the West.
If Lowry is indeed considering a move to the Western Conference, there is definitely one team we know you should keep your eye on.
