Larry Nance Jr. had an emotional reaction after seeing a Kobe Bryant tribute video that played prior to the start of Monday’s Cleveland Cavaliers-Detroit Pistons game.
Nance Jr. was a rookie on the Lakers in Kobe’s final NBA season — 2015-2016. He was with the Mamba just before the legend retired and was part of the team, seeing Kobe get honored from arena to arena on the road.
His closeness to Kobe led to this reaction to seeing the tribute video:

Nance even went to the locker room after the tribute video before returning.

Nance did gather himself enough to play. He scored 10 points in 24 minutes in the Cavs’ 115-100 win.
