LeBron James reveals what led to viral moment with fan during game
LeBron James is looking out for his parlay bettors.
The Los Angeles Lakers star James had an interesting viral moment with a fan in the middle of Sunday’s game against the Toronto Raptors. James, who had 19 points, nine rebounds, and 15 assists at the time, crashed the boards with less than two minutes left to play in the fourth quarter and ended up pulling down his 10th rebound of the game off a Toronto miss. After securing the basketball (and thus a triple-double), James turned around and pointed at a fan who was behind the basket.

After the game, James was asked by reporters about the viral moment. He revealed that the fan had been yelling for him to get one more rebound, and so James obliged.
“He definitely yelled at me, he got my attention,” said James. “He said, ‘One more rebound!’ I was like, ‘What?’ He was like, ‘One more!’ So I got one more, and I pointed at him to acknowledge that I was listening.”
It seems pretty likely that the fan had money on James to record a triple-double during Sunday’s game. That fan was very lucky too that James stayed in the contest long enough to get it as the Lakers were up by 17 points at the time of James’ 10th rebound.
Thanks to the game situation, James could afford to stat-pad there and give the people what they wanted. That is in sharp contrast to this other fellow NBA superstar who openly disdains sports bettors.
