LeBron James can still pull in the crowds, even during his team’s offseason.
The Los Angeles Lakers star James was in attendance on Saturday at the annual Fanatics Fest in New York, N.Y. He was perhaps the single biggest draw of the three-day event, and the line to see him certainly reflected that much.
Veteran sports reporter Darren Rovell shared video footage of the wall-to-wall crowd that had gathered to see James. The visual was absolutely ridiculous (take a look below).

It is unclear if James actually did a meet-and-greet with fans at the event. But at the very least, he did hold a live taping of his popular HBO show “The Shop” at Fanatics Fest (producing some great viral moments along the way).
Also taking part in the taping of “The Shop” with James were retired NFL icon Tom Brady and San Antonio Spurs phenom Victor Wembanyama, which probably added to the hysteria. But considering that Wembanyama is only just beginning his NBA career and that Brady was already in attendance at Fanatics Fest on Friday, it is probably safe to say that the crowd was mostly there to see James.
Single-day tickets to Fanatics Fest for adults were $60 plus fees ($30 plus fees for kids) while three-day tickets for adults were $150 plus fees ($65 plus fees for kids). Those who spent that money to attend the event also had to contend with an absurd crowd that looked more like a mosh pit at Coachella.
